Public Notice: Town of Riverhead — Zoning Board of Appeals hearings

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Pursuant to Section 267 of the Town Law a Public Hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York on January 11, 2018 at the Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, New York, not before the time shown below on each of the following appeals:

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-001 – Julie Satow and Stewart Elliott – 776 Sound Shore Rd, Jamesport, SCTM No. 600-7-3-37, RA-40 Zoning- for variances to and/or relief from the provisions of Chapter 219 Section 14 A(2) for a development proposed within the restricted bluff area where development is not permitted, Chapter 301 Section 9 A(1)(b) for a proposed accessory deck extension that is 6.56 feet from the side property line where the minimum required is 10 feet, Chapter 301 Section 9 A(2) for an existing accessory shed under 144 square feet is located in the front yard where it is not permitted, Chapter 301 Section 222 E where a proposed combined side yard is 15.15 feet and the minimum required is 25 feet, Chapter 301 Section 222 E where the proposed addition increases gross floor area within a required side yard, representing an increase in degree of nonconformity of a preexisting nonconforming dwelling and is not permitted.

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-002 – Roger Lee – 6 Francis St, Wading River, SCTM No. 600-74-1-17, RB-80 Zoning - for variances to and/or relief from the provisions of Chapter 301 Section 29 A(1)(c) where an existing deck in rear yard is 35 feet from the side street line and the minimum required is 60 feet, and Chapter 301 Section 29 A(1)(d) where an existing shed under 144 square feet is 21 feet from the side street line and the minimum required is 60 feet.

 

Any person desiring to be heard on the above-mentioned appeals should appear at the specified time and place.

 

Zoning Board of Appeals work session begins at 6:30 P.M. in the office of the Town of Riverhead Planning Department.
