Public Notice: Town of Riverhead — Zoning Board of Appeals hearings

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Pursuant to Section 267 of the Town Law a Public Hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York on March 22, 2018 at the Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, New York, not before the time shown below on each of the following appeals:

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2017-31–Dominick Rosselli-N/W/C Hulse Ave. & 2 ½ Street, Wading River–SCTM No. 600-33-4-21 – RB80 Zoning- for variances to and/or relief from the provisions of Chapter 301 Section 29 A(1)(c) where the proposed deck is 16.5 feet from the property line and a minimum of 20 feet is required, and Section 31 where the proposed impervious surface is 29.5% of the total lot area and the maximum permitted is 21.1% per previously granted relief (or 15% per code).

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-009 – Robert Albinski – 72 & 80 Park St, Wading River – SCTM No. 600-34-1-54.1 & 54.3, RB80 Zoning- for your appeal for variances to and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 31 where the westerly lot is proposed to be 26,647 square feet and the minimum required is 30,000 square feet.

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-010 – Richard T. Abbott – 626 Peconic Bay Blvd, Aquebogue – SCTM No. 600-87-2-23 – RB40 Zoning - for variances to and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 17 where the dwelling has a combined side yard of 35.9 feet and the minimum required is 37.65 feet by previously granted relief (or 55 feet per code).

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-011 – Zhu Qiaofang – 445 West Main Street, Riverhead – SCTM No. 600-128-2-6 – PRC Zoning - for variances to and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 222 B where the application represents a change from one preexisting nonconforming use to another nonconforming use; as the applicant wishes to convert a single-family dwelling with a nonconforming apartment to a two-family dwelling.

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-012 – Oak Creek Construction – 111 Sunset Boulevard, Wading River – SCTM No. 600-30-2-29 – RB80 Zoning - for variances to and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 31 where the proposed rear yard setback is 39.9 feet and the minimum required is 50.8 feet per previously granted relief (or 75 feet per code).

 

Any person desiring to be heard on the above mentioned appeals should appear at the specified time and place.

 

Zoning Board of Appeals work session begins at 6:30 P.M. in the office of the Town of Riverhead Planning Department.
