Public Notice: Town of Riverhead — Zoning Board of Appeals hearings

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

Pursuant to Section 267 of the Town Law a Public Hearing will be held by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York on April 12, 2018 at the Riverhead Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, New York, not before the time shown below on each of the following appeals:

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-013 – Willow Moon LLC – 34 Willow Street, South Jamesport – SCTM No. 600-92-3-54.3 – RB40 Zoning-for variances to and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 17 where the proposed front yard setback is 30.8 feet and the minimum required is 37 feet by previously granted relief (40 feet by code), and where the proposed rear yard setback is 31.4 feet and the minimum required is 37 feet by previously granted relief (40 feet by code).

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-014 – Knightland, Inc. – 579 Sound Avenue, Wading River – SCTM No. 600-75-2-13.3 – Bus CR Zoning- for variances to and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 249 E(6) where the aggregate area of signs is 94.67 square feet and the maximum allowed is 60 square feet, Section 249 E(7) where directory signs are proposed with other freestanding signs which is not permitted, and Section 249 E(8) where directory signs are proposed where buildings are setback 30 feet and the minimum required is 50 feet.

 

7:00pm, prevailing time, Appeal No. 2018-015 - Robert and Roberta Heller-3 Oak Drive, Jamesport-SCTM No. 600-70-1-15-RB40 Zoning-for variances to and/or relief from Chapter 301 Section 15 A(1)(c) where proposed detached garage is 5 feet from the rear property line and a minimum of 10 feet is required; where proposed detached garage is 20 feet from side street and the minimum required is 40 feet; where proposed inground pool in rear yard is 25 feet from side street and the minimum required is 40 feet; and Section 17 where the proposed building area is 35.5% of the lot and the maximum permitted is 30%.

 

Any person desiring to be heard on the above-mentioned appeals should appear at the specified time and place.

 

Zoning Board of Appeals work session begins at 6:30 P.M. in the office of the Town of Riverhead Planning Department.
