Public Notice: Town of Riverhead - Public hearing on proposed increase and improvement to Riverhead Water District
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
RIVERHEAD WATER DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Riverhead, Suffolk County, New York, will meet at the Town Hall, 200 Howell Avenue in Riverhead, New York, on May 2, 2017, at 2:05 o'clock P.M., Prevailing Time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon two maps, plans and reports, including, in each case, an estimate of cost, in relation to the proposed increase and improvement of the Riverhead Water District, being improvements to the water distribution system (being the extension of existing water mains at various locations aggregating approximately 4,800 linear feet), at a maximum estimated cost of $962,000, and the purchase and installation of emergency generators at Water District facilities at Pulaski Street and Edwards Avenue at a maximum estimated cost of $1,150,000, including in each case, original furnishings, equipment, machinery, apparatus, appurtenances, site improvements, and incidental improvements and expenses in connection therewith, for an aggregate maximum estimated cost of $2,112,000.
Said capital projects have been determined each to be an “Unlisted Action” pursuant to the regulations of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation promulgated pursuant to the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the implementation of which as proposed, it has been determined will not result in any significant adverse environmental effects. Full SEQRA compliance materials, together with maps, plans and reports for each improvement, are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk where they may be inspected during regular office hours.
At said public hearing said Town Board will hear all persons interested in the subject matter thereof.
